My British shorthair has such soft fur.

I saw this picture on Xianyu. I was just browsing Xianyu (I sometimes look at cute little animals on Xianyu) and suddenly saw a post saying that a cat was allergic and wanted to sell it. I was attracted by her appearance at first sight. In fact, I was still a little hesitant, because I have seen many people say that cats are hard to keep, they will scratch and bite people, and they will shed hair everywhere (I have a mysophobic mother at home, so I am worried). Later, I talked to my boyfriend about it, and he said that since I had nothing to do, I could go and see her. So I went to see her, and then we both fell in love with her. . .

When I touched her for the first time, I felt that her fur was so soft. How could it be so soft? The answerer had only touched dogs before, and their fur was very hard. After that, when I picked her up, she kept crawling under my armpits, and she was very scared, but she would not stretch her claws or cry. Her original owner said that after buying the cat, he found that he was allergic to cat hair. No one would take care of her during the Chinese New Year, so he was anxious to sell her. We checked her and found that her ears were dirty, there was a lot of mucus around her eyes, and she was very thin. She looked so cute and pitiful, so we decided to take her home.

Before taking her home, we went to the hospital for a physical examination. The doctor said that this cat was really thin, there was Malassezia infection in her ears, her mouth was a little inflamed, and she seemed to have had ringworm before. Was she really not a stray cat? We can only say that she was a stray kitten at home before ( ̄へ ̄) A bunch of medicines were prescribed, and the two novice poop-shoveling parents took her home tremblingly (˃̶̤́ ꒳ ˂̶̤̀)

By the way, my research direction as a graduate student is coating corrosion, so the kitten’s name is Coating~

Before taking her home, the doctor reminded us that kittens will have a hiding period of about a week in a new environment, and will only reveal their true nature after a week. In fact, Coating is an honest kitten, and it is exactly the same one week ago and one week later. She really changed my view of cats, this magical creature, to a great extent (the answerer used to be a dog party)

. First, go to the toilet by herself. I know cats use cat litter, but I’ve read a lot of posts about cats peeing everywhere, so I’ve always been worried (I can’t afford to offend my mother who has a mysophobia). After Coating came to my house, no matter which room she slept in, day or night, she would get up by herself and go to the litter box in the living room to go to the toilet.

Second, she never knocks over things. I’ve seen many cats on the Internet with their hands being a bit mean, deliberately knocking cups off the table, but Coating has never done that. No matter how many things are on the table, she will carefully avoid them. There are many small ornaments in my living room, and she will walk around them gently~

Third, she never calls. She didn’t hum at all in the first month when she came to my house. I wanted to hear her voice and meowed with her every day, but she never paid attention to me (´△`) I could only hear me meowing at home every day (^・ェ・^) I even suspected that she was a little dumb. Now that she is in heat for the first time (the vaccinations have not been completed, so she can’t be sterilized), she hums occasionally, and the sound is very small.

Fourth, she has a very good temper. I cleaned her ears (people who have done it know how hard it is), brushed her teeth, and cut her nails. She has never been scratched or bitten. At most, she would stretch out her claws to push your hand away. When she plays, she knows where my body is, and she will avoid stepping on me when she runs and jumps. When I took her to get an injection, she was afraid and went to my arms. She didn’t resist at all during the injection. The doctor said, how can she be so obedient? Here is a picture of her getting an injection. She curled up into a ball in my boyfriend’s arms

. Fifth, she is really clingy. Wherever you are, she will be there. When you are using the computer, she will lie in front of the computer, as shown in the picture. When

you are using the toilet, she will lie in front of you. When

you are lying down and playing with your phone, she will lie next to you, as shown in the picture. When

you want to sleep, she must sleep next to you, as

shown in the picture. When she first came to my house, I put her in the living room. As a result, I saw the surveillance the next day and found that she had been waiting for me on the sofa at my door for a whole night, as shown in the picture.

Sixth, her stomach is not very strong. When they first came to my house, I was still a rookie and didn’t know anything. I used the Royal Cat Milk Cake and Meowda cat canned food given by the original owner. The cat always had loose stools, and the cat feces smelled very bad. Now I use all homemade food (the refrigerator at home of the answerer can’t meet the requirements). I will give a cat strip to comfort it when it is given an injection. I strongly recommend homemade cat food here (it is very convenient to have a meat grinder). The cat no longer has loose stools, and the cat feces don’t smell at all (there is no need for a fully enclosed cat litter box). The previous homemade picture is for 30 days. It is made once a month and takes more than an hour each time. It is really not troublesome!
