My poodle was raised in 2008. Taobao was just becoming popular at that time, and poodles were just becoming popular. I bought a small poodle from Taobao. I vaguely remember that night, my mother and I excitedly went to the station to pick up my sister and the dog. When my sister took the little poodle out of her arms and handed it to me, my God, it was really light (only more than three months old), so small, so I named it Diandian. Diandian has officially become a member of my family since then.

Poodles are very smart, how to say it. When I brought it home that night, my mom and I played with it by throwing the ball out and asking it to pick it up. Because it was too small, it didn’t know how to pick it up, but after trying a few times, it knew to run to the ball, and then symbolically held the ball in its mouth for a while, and then ran back.

Diandian is now almost 10 years old, and what he likes to play the most is picking up balls and toys. He likes to hold the toys in his mouth in front of you, let you throw them, and then he will pick them up. He never gets tired of it. I think it’s because of the enlightenment education I gave him when he was a child:)

My mom wouldn’t let him enter her bedroom. When he wanted to play with toys, he would hold the toys in his mouth at the door of my mom’s bedroom, and then wait for my mom to play with him~ He was so sensible (he was a little fat at that time).

Another time, when he was over one year old, I suddenly had the idea to teach him to sit down and shake hands. He learned it four or five times and could do it. He didn’t practice for a long time in between, but one summer vacation when I went home, I asked him to sit down, and he was able to respond quickly, and then raised his paw to shake hands with me. Very smart~

Poodles are the kind of dogs that get smarter as they get older. Now that Diandian is over 9 years old, he is really like a child and is very smart.

For example, I installed a smart camera at home, and I found that after my parents go out, he would first look at the door for a while, make sure there is no movement, and then jump onto the sofa with a flutter and start to sleep. He especially likes the sofa. He doesn’t dare to do that when my parents are at home. When he hears the door open, he immediately jumps down and runs to the door to greet them. After welcoming them, he obediently runs back to his nest and lies down, pretending nothing happened.

Once, my parents didn’t pay attention and accidentally lost Diandian. After a month and a half, I posted ads like crazy and browsed local forums to find him back. Since then, he never runs around when he goes out, but follows me obediently. Even if I let him go, It goes downstairs to pee, and it runs upstairs quickly after it finishes peeing; and if it rains outside or the weather is a bit cold, it will pee in seconds, and run upstairs after

it finishes peeing, and it won’t even wait for my mother; and don’t deceive the poodle, it won’t be fooled the second time if you fool it once. It likes to protect its nest, because it hides some snacks in the nest. Every time my mother washes the nest, she will take out the snacks and clean them up, and it is unhappy. So in this regard, it is particularly wary of my mother. As long as my mother touches its nest, no matter where it is, it will immediately run over to protect it. At the beginning, we used snacks, toys, etc. to attract its attention and lead it away. After using it once or twice, this trick no longer works: (

It is very good at observing people’s expressions and protecting its owner. If my dad pretended to hit me, before his palm landed on me, it would immediately bark at my dad. On the contrary, it would do the same when I pretended to hit my dad. It is really more nosy than the aunties from the organizing committee.

In addition to the time when Diandian was lost, the most sad time for me was when it had a breast tumor last year. Because we didn’t know at that time, we didn’t sterilize it in time…

The reason was that we found that its nipples became swollen and pus was flowing. We went to the hospital for a check-up. Fortunately, it was benign, but it needed to be sterilized and removed. At that time, my family opposed it because they thought it was not young for it, there were risks, and it was very painful, but I was worried that it would get worse, so I agreed to do a bilateral mastectomy and sterilization. The operation for such a small dog lasted more than two hours and more than 70 stitches were sewn… The mood of waiting in the operating room at that time… It is unbearable to look back.

This was just after the operation and the painkiller was given… .So pitiful…

I was so distressed

. I put it in the bedroom for a week after the operation. I got up several times in the middle of the night to see if it was still breathing…

I carried it downstairs to poop. The wound hurt, it didn’t dare to walk, and stopped there to think about its life…

Every day, I went to the hospital to change the dressing. Several doctors worked together. It shivered in pain, but didn’t cry. It was very well behaved and cooperated.

Finally, one summer, its wound healed slowly and it became energetic. Thank God, my little Dot, you suffered…

So I remind all friends who raise dogs again that if you don’t let it have children, you must sterilize it in time, otherwise there will be a risk of disease.

Finally, in addition to being smart, easy to train, and obedient, poodles have another advantage that they have no smell and don’t shed hair, so many people like to raise poodles.
