What are the shortcomings of Bichon Frise? Bichon Frise has white fur, a round head, and is very cute. It is also very gentle and clingy. It is known as the “walking marshmallow”!
It is still quite popular among pet dogs, but such an excellent dog will still be abandoned and become a little beggar on the street.
But for Bichon Frise, abandonment means death! So I still hope that pet owners can be responsible to the end and don’t abandon it easily.
Part 1: Why is Bichon Frise abandoned?
(1) Too troublesome
Bichon Frise is born with more developed tear marks and more secretions around the eyes. The owner needs to wipe them every day, otherwise it will easily have tear marks, which affects the appearance!
Many pet owners just think it is troublesome and don’t want to take care of it. In the end, when there are tear marks, they think it is ugly and abandon it!
(2) Too timid
Bichon Frise is a small dog. I don’t know if it is due to its size or nature, but it is much less timid than other dogs. It can be scared by the slightest movement.
Part 2: Why is it said that a Bichon Frise wandering is equivalent to death?
(1) No ability to live independently
Most Bichon Frise have been kept in captivity since childhood. Their owners feed them food every day and they don’t have to worry about anything. They
have no ability to find food on their own. Therefore, as long as there is a wolf, the Bichon Frise cannot find anything to eat on its own and will eventually starve to death!
(2) Too weak

Bichon Frise is very weak and must be carefully cared for. It also has very high requirements for living environment!
If it is allowed to wander, it will not know whether it has a place to live. Even if it has a place to live, it will have to live in a dirty and messy environment, exposed to the wind and sun every day. Moreover, its physical condition is poor, so it is basically impossible for it to survive.
Part 3: How to solve the shortcomings of Bichon Frise
(1) About timidity
Some pet owners abandon Bichon Frise because they think it is too clingy and timid. It will be scared every time there is a little movement.
When going out, it doesn’t have fun and always dares to hide at the back. This kind of character makes many pet owners feel that it is difficult to keep it, so they abandon it.
However, the natural character of Bichon Frise is slow to warm up and introverted, but we can change it through acquired training. During the training process, it can be rewarded with some small snacks to increase its enthusiasm and the training effect will be better.
(2) About tear marks.
The tear glands of Bichon Frise are naturally more developed. If it is not properly cared for, it is easy to have tear marks, which affects the appearance. Many pet owners abandon it because of this!
However, the problem of tear marks in Bichon Frise is quite easy to solve. As long as the pet owner pays attention to cleanliness when he is free, pays attention to light diet, and chooses a dog food that can manage tear marks, it can be alleviated.
