I originally raised an Alaskan dog, which was adopted from a friend’s kennel. When I was raising it, I dewormed it, supplemented it with calcium, fish oil, salmon fillets, molar bones, snacks, toys, nail clippings, tooth brushing, bathing, etc. The expenses were at least 1,000 yuan a month. Later, when I came to Shenzhen to work, I couldn’t afford to raise it, so I sent it back to the countryside and asked my mother to help raise it. Every month, I also gave my mother 1,000 yuan for its food expenses. Later, when I went home during the National Day holiday and didn’t see the dog, I asked my mother where the dog was. My mother told me that my husband had taken the dog to the lobster pond to watch over the pond.
When I arrived at the crayfish pond at home, I saw 7 dogs. The problem was that all these 7 dogs were raised by my old man, but my Alaskan was the only one I saw. When I got to the house over the pond, I saw a stupid dog that looked like a pig lying on the ground and sleeping. It was still snoring when I walked up to it. I kicked it twice, but it didn’t even open its eyes. I turned over and continued to sleep.
Later I learned from my old man that it was originally intended to be raised to look after a lobster pond. This stupid dog pounced on everyone it saw, was very enthusiastic, had a big appetite, but had very poor fighting ability. On the first day it was brought to the lobster pond, it was beaten up by the “natives”. When it was time for meal, it only cared about eating and not being beaten, and snatched food from the “natives”, and was beaten up again. In the end, it relied on its shamelessness and thick skin to make the seven “natives” in the pond speechless. They all gave in to it when eating, letting it eat first. It would eat after it had finished eating the “natives”. When it wanted to play with the “natives”, they ignored it, so it often ate and slept by itself. When it was bored, it would shamelessly go to play with the “natives” or splash in the river.
My Alaskan can’t bark, it can only make a woof~~~~, or a low-pitched “grunt~~~~”. Although it’s stupid, it’s big. When I watch the pond at night, I see people fishing for eels and “enthusiastically” want to play with them. But my size and appearance scare them so much that they run away. The next day, there was a rumor that there was a wolf in my pond…
Now let me talk about my Alaskan’s food. I add some leftovers to the small fish and shrimps from the ground trap, and gulp it down. After it cools down, I pour it directly into a big basin on the ground and eat it. There is no fish oil, dog food, calcium supplements, or salmon in it. As a result, it grows as fat as a pig. You know, Alaskans are famous for their “glass stomachs”, but I, an old man, feed them like I feed local dogs and they are fine.
So don’t worry so much, and feed them half dog food and half rice, or leftovers. The breeding of Golden Retriever, Samoyed, Husky, Labrador, Alaskan and other dogs is actually almost the same, and there are not as many genetic diseases as before. There is no need to be too refined, especially when there is financial pressure.
