There may be a golden retriever missing from your life

On the first night when it came to my house, it seemed very reserved. After all, it had just left its friends and suddenly came to a completely unfamiliar environment. It needed some time to adapt. My daughter passed a stuffed bear to it. The bear was bigger than it. It carefully touched it with melon seeds, its nose twitched slightly, and then it put its paw on the bear. It accidentally turned its belly upside down and fell asleep. There is no

need for an alarm clock anymore. It will wake us up at about 6:30 every morning.

It licks its owner’s arm and even face with its tongue. If it can’t reach it, it will put its paw on the edge of the bed and make coquettish sounds.

In the morning, I usually take the dog to send my daughter to school. When we were having breakfast, it was anxiously turning around and barking to urge us to hurry up. When we went out to change our shoes, it suddenly remembered that it was time for breakfast. It ate a large plate of dog food in a whirlwind, and looked up from time to time, fearing that we would leave early.

The rate of turning heads on the road is very high. People often exclaim, what a big dog, what a beautiful golden retriever!

It always walks in front. When crossing the road, I am very nervous. I hold my daughter with my left hand and pay attention to the length of the leash on my right hand so as not to disturb other pedestrians. After sending my daughter, I turn back. The distance is about 1.5 kilometers. The golden retriever has enough exercise in the morning.

When I get home from work in the evening, the car has not stopped yet, and it has already noticed it. Its paws are stretched out and resting on the windowsill. From outside the house, it looks like a standing mongoose.

Calling its name, it quickly came out of the house to greet us, and nimbly jumped a few times in the open space. Then, with a weight of more than 40 kilograms, it pounced on us without hesitation, like a tank. The scene we had imagined, holding slippers to welcome the owner, has never happened once.

Going out for a trip is the happiest thing for it. We need to make a lot of preparations in advance, which hotels can accommodate dogs, whether there are large areas of grass around, and preferably a place to swim. The first time I went on a long trip, I vomited all over the place. When the car stopped and then started, its front legs would be tense.

After going out more often, it gradually got used to it. When the trunk was opened, it would rush up like an arrow, lie down to gather its strength, or stand up and quietly look at the scenery from the rear window.

Golden retrievers love swimming by nature and can play in the water for a whole afternoon. Its fur was soaked, and its size suddenly became smaller. It paddled in the water with its limbs, splashing water everywhere. In the rush, it would occasionally scoop up a few mouthfuls of water with its mouth, with a serious expression, like a bad actor.

If there were guests at home, it would be the most enthusiastic. It would circle around the guests, its tail shaking desperately as if it had a motor, and it would stretch out its front paws from time to time to shake hands with the guests. When the guests sat on the sofa, it would bring its favorite toy over and invite them to play with it.

Sometimes it would be particularly quiet, lying on the floor, its long ears seemed to cover its eyes. The sun shone in from the east window, covering its entire body, with a faint layer of golden light. People walk around the house, but it doesn’t move, letting you fall on it, as quiet as a baby.

Most people who like and are willing to keep dogs will respect dogs very much, regard dogs as one of the family members, and give them the same equal status as other family members when allocating time, energy and other resources, and other family members will also take this for granted.

When the seasons change, we will find a lot of dog hair in the living room, on the sofa, and even in the leather shoes; every time we go out to play with him, we will feel like we are playing tug-of-war with an elephant; he will also be childish, jumping around on our bed and messing up the whole house.

Apart from this, he will not cause us any more trouble, and compared with the happiness and satisfaction he feeds back to humans, these troubles are really not worth mentioning.

Every night when I write in the study, it will lie quietly at the bottom of my feet, and I can touch its soft fur and just the right temperature. The happiness that dogs bring us is an extremely real feeling.

Between you and happiness, there may be a dog missing, preferably a golden retriever.
