Golden retriever Jiujiu's growth record (3)

Golden retriever Jiujiu’s growth record (3)

I have always loved dogs, and my friend knew that, so he was given to me.

My mother doesn’t like him, and she tells me every day that she wants to send Jiujiu away. She said she would throw him away as soon as I go to school. (I am now a senior and about to graduate)

Raising a dog is not like many people think, just raising a toy, playing with it every day, and not having to take care of anything. I was completely unprepared before I raised Jiuye, because my friend wanted to give me a surprise without even saying hello, but ended up frightening me.

I have never raised a pet dog, and my family’s local dogs were fed casually before, and they seemed healthy. But Jiuye fell ill as soon as he came to me. I am a poor student, and I spent thousands of dollars on his medical treatment, all of which was my living expenses. Fortunately, his physical condition is still good, and he recovered completely in a month. If he had been sick all the time, I would not have been able to support his treatment. At that time, I was alone, holding a dying dog every day, looking for a hospital everywhere (there is no pet hospital here, and there were other unfortunate and sad things in those days, tears ran down my face, and finally I found a livestock station.

I hardly slept, and listened to his difficult and heavy breathing every night. Sometimes there was no sound suddenly, and I was startled, wondering if he was dead. I touched his heartbeat, and fortunately, he was still alive. During the day, I watched him for infusion. He couldn’t stand, and he urinated and defecated on his body, rubbing against me. That’s how I spent those days.

So now he is naughty, jumping in mud puddles, and biting shoes and clothes. I always think that it’s good to be healthy, not just a little naughty. But eating chicken infringes on the interests of others, and it has to be changed.

Raising a pet is something that teaches us to love and give. Trust it, help it, and accompany it. It is definitely not completely beautiful and painless. It will be distressed, sad, and even angry. It’s not that these distresses come from the dog itself, but from the people around it and their own patience.

(Hehehe, mom, are you looking at me?)

I hope that friends who want to raise dogs, especially medium and large dogs, must think carefully!!!!!!!!!

Take the golden retriever for example, there will be the following problems:

1. They are very naughty in childhood, destroying the house, biting shoes, clothes, glasses worth hundreds of dollars, and everything they can reach (some dogs will bite your furniture worth thousands of dollars). The economic losses involved must be borne.

2. They are large in size. Every time you take them out to play, you can hear different people say that dogs bite people, dogs are big, dogs are bad, and dogs have rabies. Even family members (my mother repeats this every day), we will be upset when we hear it.

3. Golden retrievers must spend time walking every day, at least an hour, this part of time must be taken out, right?

4. The food must be salt-free and nutritious. The dog food must be at least medium-quality. Too bad dog food is not good. They can’t eat rice and rice every day like humans. And dog food is not cheap, hundreds or thousands, which is another economic expense. Add snacks, toys, calcium tablets, vitamins, and it’s no different from raising a child.

5. Shedding. It is inevitable that there will be hair everywhere in the house, so you have to comb the hair every day, which takes at least ten minutes.

6. Bathing a big dog. I don’t have the conditions to take him to the pet store for a bath every time. He doesn’t like bathing very much. It takes at least two hours from washing to blow-drying. There are also nail clipping and hair trimming. It takes time and effort to do it yourself, and it costs money to go to the pet store.

7. If you get sick, seeing a doctor is part of the expense. There are also annual vaccines and deworming.

8. If the dog is not taught well, he will pee and poop everywhere in the house, even on the sofa and bed. At this time, will you get angry and beat the dog?

9. The most important companionship, many trips and gatherings will be sacrificed just because there is a dog at home.

10. Dogs may be injured in society, and the Animal Protection Law is not comprehensive. You may be unlucky enough to encounter dog fraud. Sometimes you can only suffer losses. This preventive work is necessary, and you must be careful and pay attention to it at ordinary times.

…There are more than that. Women may also be asked by their parents to give their dogs away because they are pregnant, etc.

Therefore, you need to have a certain economic foundation, time, patience, love, good temper, and the determination to protect it!

I decided to wait until I graduate this year, find a city to rent a house, and then take Jiu over. There is no chicken to eat in the city, and I can also take him to dog gatherings to make friends.

Now my mother gives me an ultimatum every day, but if I don’t hold on, Jiuer will have to be transferred. It’s really tiring to fight against matriarchy T﹏T

Finally, I won’t blame my mother. The older generation, especially those with little education, can’t change her thinking. There’s nothing she can do. She thinks what’s the point of raising a dog? It’s better to have a child to raise. I have nothing to say about this.

Finally, I hope that dogs will be safe and happy throughout their lives. I

hope that dog lovers will get their own dogs as they wish❤

(Give everyone a big smile☻, how about it, my teeth are whiter than yours even if I don’t brush them)
