I have never had a golden retriever, but there is a golden retriever colleague in the company named Nelson, who often comes to the office, so I have spent almost five years together. I am now in Sweden, and the owner of this dog is a company colleague, a Swede.
When I first met Naisang, I went to my present company by chance while I was still at school. I found a huge dog always lying quietly at the door, and it was inconvenient to cross the dog’s body in and out. At that time, the receptionist of the company said that the host had gone out for a meeting, so Nathan liked to stay where he could see it first when he came back. At that time, I was decisively circled by Naisang, and then I secretly took a photo and used it as the avatar of WeChat.
Later, perhaps by fate, a year later, I worked in the company where Nathan was located. During the interview, my colleague asked, are you allergic to dogs, because there are dogs in our office. I don’t wave drum shook his head, just say:
According to colleagues, Naisang’s former master had to give him away because someone in his family was allergic to dogs. At first, my colleagues were worried that Nathaniel would dislike him as a bad old man and couldn’t go out with Nathaniel every day. Later, after getting along for a while, I found that it was not bad and I was not rejected. Later, when Nathaniel’s former master came to the house, Nathaniel didn’t get close to his former master at all, and completely forgot the people who abandoned him.

There are three main responsibilities of Nathan in the company.
Most of the time is quietly guarding my colleagues to sleep and recuperate. Sometimes it’s under the computer desk, sometimes it’s in the conference room. When a colleague moves to another room, he will immediately get up and follow him, then lie down and go back to sleep. Occasionally, a sentence or two from Nathaniel’s sleep will suddenly break the silence in the room. At this time, colleagues will clear the way for him: Naisang is dreaming of running in the forest!
The second duty is to entertain yourself and play with your beloved toys. As a hunting dog with blood in her body, Wang Xing can only find her true self when she is chasing a running ball and returning home in triumph with a screaming prey.
The third duty is to sell cute food. Sometimes when I close my eyes enough and feel hungry, I will lie down at the table of other colleagues who often feed, then look at you quietly and convey the message of’ sprinkle some dog food’ to you with innocent eyes. If you don’t respond and ignore him, he will get in from under the table and put his head on your leg, rubbing and grinding, hoping to attract attention. If you still ignore him, he will realize that you are busy and then leave quietly.
Golden retriever, as the preferred breed of guide dog, although Naisan has not been trained as a guide, from his body, we can still see many potential characteristics of Golden Retriever being competent for this job.
For example, gentle and quiet personality. I haven’t heard Nathaniel bark like other dogs for no reason. Most of the time, he is very quiet and I can hardly feel his presence. At first, I thought I had stayed with the Swedes for a long time and was edified. The memory of barking in the occasional impression is when he fell asleep and dreamed. Later, when he was lying on the smooth concrete floor because of his old age, he would bark for help when he remembered that his legs could no longer support his weight.
Be kind and friendly to others. This kind of friendliness is as docile and clever as strangers, and I am not alert to strangers at all. Maybe I can’t count on housekeeping. Once worried, I felt that Nathaniel had been abducted by the bad guys, and I knew nothing about it.

At work last Monday, my colleagues came up to everyone and announced Nelson’s departure. Because of the pain caused by brain tumor, Nathaniel finally left by euthanasia. This golden retriever male dog, aged 14, was finally buried in an animal cemetery in Stockholm.
