My Samoyed suddenly became sensible

My Samoyed has suddenly become sensible.

Our Samoyed is one and a half years old this year and has grown to more than 60 kilograms. He is a silly and innocent dog who eats and sleeps soundly. He has a gentle personality and is not aggressive. He can be bullied by anyone.

Usually, when he wakes up at home, he will run straight to us to ask for a pat, wag his tail and look for Maomao to play with, but Maomao will look at him fiercely. He plays with his own toys, such as empty water bottles and express boxes, and only goes to eat after playing enough.

After dinner, he goes to the small balcony to look at the flowers and plants. He likes the pot of oranges I planted very much. He picks them one by one with his mouth, and likes to stick his head out from the gaps between the flowers and plants to observe the people downstairs.

There is a young couple who often flirt with each other in the small garden under our balcony. Sometimes when I hang clothes to dry, I see them, so I don’t look at them and avoid them temporarily. When Qiuqiu saw it, he insisted on sticking his head out, grinning, staring at people, and following them. He was very gossipy!

In short, Qiuqiu is a puppy who enjoys himself very much. He likes to explore the world with his mouth. For example, after he grew taller than the bed, his favorite thing to do was to use his mouth to dig our quilt.

We went out on May Day and boarded both dogs in the pet store. We sent them to the dog boarding area on the second floor of the pet store and handed them over to the staff. The two dogs were so excited that they howled and were very reluctant to enter the cage. We could hear Qiuqiu’s loud barking from a long distance.

After we came back from the field, we went to the pet store to pick up the dogs. Maomao fell asleep after eating at home, and Qiuqiu drank some water and went into the cage to sleep listlessly. He didn’t howl until the next day.

One morning, I got up and saw Qiuqiu lying in the cage, Maomao lying on the sofa, facing the cage. Both puppies were awake, looking at each other, without humming, and I don’t know what they were thinking.

Qiuqiu seemed to have suddenly become sensible. Specifically, he was much more stable than before. He no longer wandered around the house and bit various small things. He was still very curious about the items on the table, but he only nudged them with his mouth and did not bite them. He only bit the empty bottles and boxes given to him. When he was alone with Maomao and the other two dogs, he no longer made trouble and just lay quietly on the floor.

His fluffy face showed more rich expressions. Sometimes he would lie on the ground in a daze, as if he was a little melancholy.

Lao Wang said, could it be that he finally knew what the pain of separation was?

Alas, the dog was sensible, but the old mother became melancholy.

As a form of life, what is the essential difference between puppies and humans? Their emotions and behaviors are also easily affected by the environment and life experiences. The short separation from the owner seemed to make Qiuqiu cherish everything at home more, including his two shit shovelers and his big brother Maomao. This change is also a progress for him, which also means that his mind is more mature.

The mental development of dogs is a long process, which is affected by many internal and external factors. The care and companionship of dogs during their growth is of great significance to their mental development.

The mental development of dogs also has a certain cycle and rhythm. It is mainly divided into birth, puppyhood, adolescence, adulthood and old age.

During these stages, the mental, behavioral and physiological changes of dogs will occur. These stages are not fixed, but are adjusted according to the dog breed, individual differences and living environment.

Birth period: When a dog is just born, its vision and hearing are very weak, and it mainly relies on its sense of smell to perceive the surrounding environment. At this stage, the mental development of dogs is relatively slow.

Puppy period: Dogs enter the puppy period when they are 3-4 weeks old. This stage is a critical period for the mental development of dogs. They begin to learn to interact with their companions and humans and establish social relationships. At this time, the owner should give the dog enough care and companionship to help it build a sense of trust.

Adolescence: Dogs enter adolescence between 4 months and 1 year old. At this stage, the mental development of dogs is rapid, and they begin to learn to think independently and solve problems. At this time, the owner should strengthen the training and education of the dog to promote their mental development.

Adult stage: Dogs enter adult stage between 1-2 years old, and their mental development is relatively stable. At this stage, dogs have formed certain personalities and behavior patterns. Owners should continue to pay attention to the needs of dogs, and maintain interaction and companionship with them.

Old age: In the later years of a dog’s life, its mental and physiological functions will gradually decline. At this stage, owners should pay attention to the health of dogs and ensure their quality of life.

Qiuqiu is now one and a half years old, between adolescence and adulthood. At this stage, dogs develop rapidly mentally and begin to learn to think and solve problems independently. Its sudden understanding is also in line with its mental development at this stage. Of course, temporarily leaving the family may make Qiuqiu more aware of cherishing the family and the owner, and have a deeper understanding of the family environment.

We usually only teach puppies to be polite, not to pounce on people and other animals, and not to run around outside. Therefore, Maomao and Qiuqiu are very polite dogs outside. They will even queue up with us for the elevator and are also very friendly to children.

We did not deliberately train the dogs’ skills. At present, they only know three commands: come, go out, sit down, shake hands, and biubiu (play dead). But we try to let both dogs bathe in love and praise. Because Lao Wang and I often flatter each other, and the same is true for the puppies.

We often tell the puppies, you are the cutest puppy in the world, do you know? How can there be such a cute puppy in the world? So well-behaved and smart, how can it be so cute? To be honest, even dogs like flattery, because they seem to understand, grinning, as if they are laughing.

Thinking that Qiuqiu is about to become a real smiling angel, a sensible, gentle and loving big warm man, the old mother is no longer melancholy.

The puppies are like two little suns. No matter how much love we give them, they will only return more love, joy and touching. They will return our care and companionship in their own unique way and become an indispensable part of our lives.
