Many people are impressed by the gentle, cute, generous, honest, handsome and handsome appearance of golden retrievers, but they don’t know how hard it is to take care of a golden retriever at home. If you are not tolerant of dogs, both dogs and people will suffer. I have heard of too many cases where dogs died of heatstroke because they were locked in balconies and yards in summer because they were afraid that dogs would destroy the house. The tormenting aspects of golden retrievers are as follows:
1. Before the age of 2, they are very energetic, and walking the dog is unbearable. People are usually tired after walking for an hour, but they don’t want to go home until they have played enough! If you pull him hard, he will sit on the ground. He weighs 50 to 60 kilograms or even more, and female friends may not be able to pull him. Even if you can force him home, not to mention that golden retrievers will get angry and upset, the energy that has not been vented needs to be vented somewhere, and tables, chairs, wall cloths and clothes can all become his toys.
2. Hair loss is very serious, and it is normalized throughout the year. In addition, golden retrievers have two sets of fur in summer and winter, and need to shed twice a year! Each time lasts for 1-2 months. At that time, the fur at home is literally a layer of fur. What? You said that taking a bath will be fine. If you take a bath at home, the sewer will be blocked tightly. It is really too expensive to take a bath outside.
3. The body odor is very strong! The owner’s nose has failed, and he must not be able to smell it. Don’t invite guests to your home, or they will be driven away by the smoke. What, you said to take a bath frequently? Dogs’ skin is more sensitive, so they can’t be washed too frequently. Washing too frequently/not washing cleanly/not drying/there are germs in the bathing area/will cause golden retrievers to get skin diseases. Learn about pyoderma, which will rot a large area at any time and cannot be cured.
4. Golden retrievers are too smart and never regard themselves as dogs. When they meet their own kind, they are fierce. If they don’t pay attention and don’t pull them, they can bring you down. If they bite other dogs, they have to pay compensation.
5. When dogs are young, they can’t hold their urine just like people can. Walking twice a day is not enough. If they can’t hold it, they will pee in the house. This should be the biggest reason why many people abandon their dogs. There is no way to clean the floor. As for teaching dogs to pee in the bathroom or on a special mat, this has a lot to do with the dog’s understanding. Anyway, my dog has never been taught…
6. Eating too much, spending a lot, stomach and skin are not very good, some have joint problems when they are old, and the key is that they can’t be held when they are sick. I won’t talk about these, they are all trivial matters…
But so many problems still can’t resist the golden retriever’s feelings for the owner. When you return home, she will come to welcome you with a hum, and her mouth seems to have endless words to say. Before, when I left home for a year and came back, she would be so excited to see me and pee on the spot. You can also feel that the golden retriever is very smart when you get along with her. It can almost understand everything you say to her. It understands many simple instructions and can distinguish different members of the family, which makes you sometimes really have the illusion that you are not raising a dog, but a child who can’t speak.
