Is corgi easy to raise, and how

Is corgi easy to raise, and how?

I have 10 years of experience in the pet industry and 6 years as a pet doctor. During this period, I have helped no less than 3,000 people deal with dog problems. Whether Corgi is easy to raise depends on the individual. I will rationally analyze whether Corgi is easy to raise, and how to raise it?

1. Corgi is not easy to raise at all

1. Poor obedience

Corgis have high IQ but poor obedience. If the owner makes a mistake in training, he will receive contempt from the Corgi, plus the Corgi’s self-assertion.

If there are too many such situations, the owner will be more frustrated. But when the Corgi finds that the owner is angry, it will use its invincible little electric hips to act coquettishly, which makes the owner love and hate it.

2. Large appetite

Large appetite, easy to eat and become a big fat man. Pet lovers who see Corgi eating must think that the dog may have been hungry for several days. Because they eat without restraint, they don’t waste at all, and they are a breed that can eat as much as they want.

Such a habit of overeating can easily make them obese and give birth to various diseases. If a novice does not understand, he is always afraid that the Corgi will be hungry, and in the end he can only get a big fat dog.

3. Large amount of exercise

Corgis are small in size, but they exercise a lot.

If the owner does not have time to take them out to play, the Corgis who have been bored for a long time will express their dissatisfaction by destroying things or shouting.

4. Willfulness

The attitude of Corgis towards their owners is directly related to their mood.

When they are happy, they will try every means to make their owners happy together. When they are unhappy, they will bark and bite to vent their temper.

2. How to raise Corgis?

1. Feeding food Note that

the Corgi’s rations must be changed every once in a while. Only in this way can you ensure that your dog has enough comprehensive nutrition.

You need to prepare enough grains, vegetables and meat, which are all foods that Corgis love to eat and need.

Another thing to note is that Corgis are a dog that loves to drink water very much. During the breeding process, you must prepare enough water for it.

The water prepared for Corgis must be clean and hygienic, and boiled tap water and mineral water are the first choice.

The Corgi’s appetite is closely related to its age and daily exercise. If your dog is a newborn puppy, it is recommended to feed it with breast milk.

Because breast milk is the most balanced and comprehensive nutrition, and for puppies, breast milk can provide them with the antibodies they need from the mother.

When the Corgi is past the lactation period, you can use milk powder instead of breast milk to supplement their nutrition. At this stage, you should soak the dog food in warm water and then feed it to the Corgi.

Corgis can eat dry food by themselves three months after birth. At this time, you only need to feed them dry food once a day in the morning and evening.

2. Control diet

Corgis are prone to obesity and eye diseases, which you as a dog owner must pay attention to.

Because Corgis are originally cattle dogs with a lot of daily activities, they consume more calories than other dog breeds. After becoming pet dogs, obesity becomes their biggest problem due to lack of exercise.

As we all know, Corgis have short legs and long bodies, so once they are overweight, the incidence of intervertebral disc disease will be very high.

Therefore, controlling their weight is something that Corgi owners must pay attention to. You can start with increasing exercise and controlling diet.

It is especially important to note that: never let Corgis climb stairs, the consequences will be serious!

Corgis are more susceptible to eye diseases than other dogs, so they need more care from their owners.

The specific approach should be to wash your dog’s eyes with boric acid water every three to five days, and be sure to keep your dog’s eyes clean.

3. Corgis need regular care .

Although Corgis do not have any odor, their hygiene cannot be relaxed. It is recommended to trim their nails once every three weeks and take a bath at least once a month.

The place where they live should also be dry and ventilated, and it is recommended to disinfect once or twice a month to ensure the cleanliness and health of the kennel. Finally, I want to say that Corgis are very naughty and loyal. If you decide to feed them, you must treat them well.

You may have many pets, but they will always have only you as their owner. Please respect life, and don’t abandon them easily after you raise them! The life of a Corgi is about ten years. It is not easy to accompany each other, so cherish it while you are gone.
